The writers and staff of AndroidDissected.com, in observance of Epilepsy Awareness Month, are proud to announce a special edition of our regular feature Screenshot Sunday. During the week ending Nov, 24th readers are encouraged to submit your best home screen customization that helps to promote awareness of this condition that affects 2.2 million people in the US, and 65 million people worldwide. You’re encouraged to use the purple, the official color of Epilepsy awareness, and any images that share the theme. Some great starter ideas can be found here.

I have a personal connection to this cause, My son Hendrix and daughter Addison both suffer from Epilepsy. Addie appears to have Infantile Myoclonus, a lesser form of the condition, that she seems to have grown out of, Hendrix is not so lucky. Although we have not been able to find an exact diagnosis for him, he has suffered three near fatal seizures in the last year, and has proven very resistant to treatments. Despite their condition, they are happy, active kids and are a joy to be around. This is not just for my children though, its’ for the families of  Ava, Jack, Chris, Ryan, Catherine, Sarah, Aislin, Avery, and all the others that we have had the joy to cross path’s with.
